Perhaps a DIY colour job has gone disastrously wrong, or you’re disappointed with the results of a colour service from another salon, don't worry. Do I need hair colour correction? Common hair colour problems include:

  • Box hair dyes have left you with patchy results
  • At-home bleach or peroxide job
  • Your hair has a slight green or orange tint

We know how traumatic a hair colour disaster can be.  But please don't attempt a quick fix at home, as this can sometimes make the problem worse.  It’s important to seek the advice of professionals as soon as possible, so contact us and we'll get you in as soon as we can.  Please don't be too ashamed to give us a call!

If your blonde hair looks brassy 

Hair that is improperly bleached or bleached hair that is overexposed to the sun can turn orange. We can correct brassy tones by using professional products and treatments to neutralize yellow or orange tones. Depending on the extent of the problem, this may be as simple as an in salon toning treatment vs a corrective color service.  A toner is applied at the sink after hair is shampoos, and rinsed after a few minutes. 

If your hair dye turned out too dark

A drug store box dye disaster can result in an unnatural, shoe polish looking hair color. We can lift out unwanted color and/or add highlights or lowlights to create the look of natural dimension. First the old color should be lifted before we can start adding highlights or lowlights, if needed.

If hair is too light or damaged from bleaching

There is a big difference between too light and overly processed or damaged hair which is why you should consult an expert.  If your hair colour is too light but in good condition, we can apply a single process colour to darken the hair and give it an all over shine. If your hair is overly processed, we will need to take a different approach which may include a bond building treatments or splitting your colour correction services into multiple steps.

If a home balayage has gone wrong

If you tried a home highlighting kit and you don't look like the model on the box, please book a consultation. Using a combination of highlights, lowlights, a toner or color gloss, we can blend in harsh colors and offset unwanted shades. 

Colour Balancing

Is your hair colour too dark? We can lighten it with highlights. Is your hair too light? We can add a darker colour or warmer shade lowlights. Whatever hair colour problem you have, we can fix it! During your consultation, we can assess your hair colour shade and one of our expert colourists can advise you on how we can correct your hair colour disaster and achieve the colour that you want.

Colour Removal

If you want your disaster hair colour completely removed, then we do provide colour removal services. However, the use of colour remover on your hair is as harsh as bleach so this would need to be discussed over a colour correction consultation. Whatever the hair colour problem, we’re sure to find the hair colour solution.
